The Catasauqua High School Drama Club is excited to take you back in time to the year 1927, when the silent movie era was coming to an end and talking pictures were in their infancy. Actors were learning how to speak correctly since their voices would now be heard on screen; the development of the sound bite. Follow Monumental Pictures journey into their first talking picture when Don Lockwood and Cosmo Brown find that the superstar silent movie queen, Lina Lamont, is less than picture perfect for talking pictures! Don and Cosmo meet Kathy Seiden, with whom they cook up a great idea for saving Monumental Pictures first go at the talking film era. Love a good tap dancing show? Love big production numbers? Old broadway at its best? Singin' In The Rain will have you tapping and singing along with numbers such as "Make 'Um Laugh", "Good Morning", "Broadway Melody", and of course, "Singin' In The Rain"!
Our young ladies and gentlemen picked this show just for you, their audience. They have worked diligently since summer on learning how to tap dance (yup all of them)!! We are all so proud of each and every one of them! We are certain you'll want to see this show more than once :-)
